Rebrand

This brand, for so long, has been a fraction of a reflection of our lives. When I (khanan) thought of Bhouse, or Brothers House, the idea was the experience of living with my brothers and playing lacrosse throughout most of our lives together. The understanding that this was a rare opportunity we could tell our kids about, I documented it as much as I could through videos, art, and clothing.

With all of us having graduated, we are closing the lacrosse chapter in our lives. Not for good, the days of us playing every day. One thing that my dad has always said to us growing up is What is your ministry? Which is saying, how will you spread the gospel (talk about God) or pour it into other people?  I had a brand, but I wasn't uplifting anyone but myself, my brothers, or our team. Bhouse/Brothers house doesn't represent who we are or
what we want to be known for anymore.
What is your ministry is the same question Ikigia asks. How do you use your talent or what you're good at in service for others or for the kingdom? What do you love and what does the world need? Talents and their use in the kingdom are paired because what is passion if it can't be shared? Love for the craft and what the world needs coincide because sometimes what the world needs isn't what they want, and the creator will always feel that resistance.

Our family and friends are nerds. When Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith came out, our dad pulled our friends and us out of school to watch the premiere. As much as we love art, we love the ultimate artist, God. We were raised in the Lutheran church. Our father is a pastor, and his father was too. We grew up on anime; one thing that was always missing was representation that looked like us or acted like us. Even in live-action media, there are only so many archetypes of black characters, man or woman. When there is, and the culture enjoys it, they get canceled.

We are going to close the gap in lacrosse with animation, skits, vlogs, DIY’s, live streaming, clothing, art, music, events, and our faith. Big expansion, but we as a team have too. We have teamed up with friends, family, and other artists who share the same dream: to create original series, highlight stories, discuss our favorite characters, and build community through art and faith. Our objective is to make art that is a mirror of reality, but telling it in a way that isn't a reversed copy. One short we are working on is called “The Annual Early Bird Special”. The idea behind the short is: why do birds fly low in front of cars?

Minister of Graphic Design - Naomi Pavel

I enjoy expressing myself through creativity, whether it’s graphic design, fashion or singing. I love finding ways to use my God given gifts to inspire others, communicate meaningful messages and reflect God’s grace. I believe creativity is a powerful way to spread hope, encourage people and share the Gospel. I’m excited to use my talents to serve God, contribute to the ministry, and be part of a creative community that brings people closer to Him. My favorite marvel character is Falcon and my favorite Marvel character is Wonder Woman.

Minister of Women's Wear and Design - Talen Francis 


I have built my life and career around actualizing political science—by administering and managing events and eventually national conferences. I joined advocates to amplify and support defense practioners of justice-system-impacted individuals. My current work focuses on indepth research to envision holistic pathways for civic-minded education and participation for communities of color.

While I am deeply impassioned by justice, fairness, and equity, I find calm and grounding in the creative arts. Life can often feel beyond our control, but I find true peace in sewing and crafting pieces filled with love and sentimentality. Beyond sewing, listening to Alternative and Classic R&B soothes my soul, and a great action hero movie never fails to re-inspire my justice-driven work

Minister of Performing  Arts - Calebmichael Williams

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Caleb Michael Williams studied conservatory acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC because he knew he needed in-depth training to be great at his craft. His idea of accomplishment is a job well done, and his idea of success is a life well lived. Through acting, writing, and music, Calebmichael utilizes his life experience to inform his work and support each project he is able to assist in creating.

CO-Minister of Music and Design - Samuel Bodley

Samsun Lucid is a Christian hip-hop artist blending introspective lyricism, experimental sounds, and faith-driven storytelling. His music explores identity, temptation, purpose, and the journey toward God. Samsun lucid also enjoys playing video games, watching anime, and watching tv shows. With the games and shows he’s watched and played over the years he’s been able to incorporate all of what he loves into music using literary devices to do so. When it comes to superhero’s Batman has always been Samsun lucid a favorite character with the way he uses pure genius and pure hands to fight crime.

Co-Minister of Music and Arts - Simeon Bodley

Simeon loves a wide variety of art, from making music to painting to editing photos; there is a laundry list of untapped potential that remains on his mind. His favorite piece of media  is One Piece. He has been reading various manwha and catching up on the newest Lanterns TV show. Speaking of DC, his favorite character is Green Lantern while his favorite Marvel character is Thor!

Minister of Creative Direction - Khanan Bodley

I love to create. If i could work any job it would be learning different art mediums. My degree is in Media Communications but I'm currently in trade school because I like working with my hands. My knowledge in videography, sewing, embroidery, 3d animation, screenprinting, and upcycling furniture will all play a part in the brand.

My goal is to make a brand for Christian creators equivalent to the space RDC has. I think it's important to talk about the media we are watching and why we are watching it. My favorite DC character is Plastic Man, and my favorite Marvel character is NightCrawler.
